Breaking the Magic was born from a geeky wish to have a comic about Magic the Gathering, which was my favorite hobby at the time.
One day a shocking discovery opened up my horizons and the world of board games was before me unexplored. Breaking the Magic being the comic mirror of my hobbies was due for a change and thus I focused the comics for a board game centric audience.
Yet the adventure was far from over as I realized that perhaps comics weren’t the best way to give back to the community and I decided to write news, reviews and other stuff about board games.

My name is Tiago and I’m a Portuguese board gamer I usually play most games with my significant other as we have a shared collection of games. Tiago is the mastermind behind Breaking the Magic but he usually isn't the mastermind when playing games getting a lot of humiliating last places. He is however a cunning Cylon. Also never ask him to roll a die, even though he doesn't have bad luck at critical times he is known to roll the worst possible result. He loves receiving mail and answers every single one.
