Infinite City seems one of those simple games that has the potential to be played very often. It is at heart a game of area control, but with an interesting twist.Players will have to play a tile each turn, from a hand of five, and each of those tiles has a special rule giving that player some benefit, the player also puts a control token on that tile. Having a hand of tiles will allow the player to plot his strategy and at the same time make every game different.
The game ends when a player has no more tiles followed by a scoring of each group of 3 or more control tokens and special points awarded by the tiles.
The art on the tiles is very nice to look at with several utopian buildings depicted. This game is for 2 to 6 players and playable in 45 minutes. To be published in Essen 2009 by AEG.
Rulebook available at the AEG site (pdf).

The only places where I’ve found it in Europe are Giochinscatola ( http://giochinscatola.it/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=6711&osCsid=d9a328f3cd379eb8e7f9b16e9a1af2fb ), Milan-Spiele ( http://www.milan-spiele.de/infinite-city-engl-p-10853.html ) and CosimShop ( http://www.cosimshop.de/Brettspiele/Strategie/Taktik/Infinite-City::2003.html ) but in everyone it’s in preorder. In the CosimShop page it says it will be out in January.
