Maybe you have plowed through several dungeons as a knight, wizard or thief, killed all the minions and got some fine loot, but have you thought how much work it takes to run the place?
That’s the question Dungeon Lords asks and hopefully answers. In Dungeon Lords you’ll have the chance to experience what is to be the master of a subterranean dungeon, you’ll have to summon minions, dig tunnels and stop heroes from getting your loot.
This premise perhaps inspired by the video game Dungeon Keeper is the basis for what seems to be a game of resource management and humor as Vlaada Chvátil has already accustomed us.
The board is awesome, very colorful and with a lot of cute minions walking around in their caves, and talking about cute minions:
This makes me want to play around with my minions. Czech Games noticed how crazy players were for the Space Alert glass bits, even though they couldn’t put glass bits in Dungeon Lords because it would end up too expensive, we get transparent plastic bits, which visually will look just as nice.
This game has entered my “must try soon” category as it seems both fun and able to provide a great challenge. It’s for 2 to 4 players with a duration of 90 minutes, it will be published in Europe through Czech Games Edition and in the U.S. by Z-Man games.
Do you also want to be an evil dungeon lord?
