Ever since I’ve played Vinci a while ago I’ve been keeping my eye on Small World.
Small World from Days Of Wonder tries to remake Vinci, updating rules ,throwing the races and abilities into a fantasy setting and even making it last a little less consuming. While these decisions have disappointed many people, who were expecting Vinci’s remake to be a heavier game and more reality based (which would have been great also) personally I think it gives the game another life.
The art is great and the ability/race combinations are sure to get some laughs from the players (if you’re the kind of people who laughs from “Dragon master Ratmen” and other silliness like me).
