Maybe I’ve been playing too much Race for the Galaxy.
I’ve been hooked since I’ve opened that box, I never played a game that’s so fast and addictive, while being moderately complex. Many gamers complain that this game is just too complicated or that it just doesn’t “do it” for them. Sure, we all have different tastes, but I don’t find the game over-complicated, there are a lot of symbols to memorize, but these are usually very explicit on what they do (after 2 or 3 plays you’ve got most of them memorized) and the theme fits really well with the mechanics.
It’s also the first game I’m actually looking forward to have as many expansions as I can, I’m already eyeing The Gathering Storm and wonder what they can add in the next planned expansion.
