Prepare your wooden legs, your eye patch and the parrot. Jamaica is going to be released in August in North America.

The game was designed by Bruno Cathala, Malcolm Braff and Sébastien Pauchon. You might remember the first name from Mr.Jack.

The game revolves around Henry Morgan an old pirate who has gotten himself to be Governor of Jamaica. Now it’s time to turn Jamaica in the latest retirement haven for pirates.

I’ve often said that many of us have a problem with board games, and that problem is having a table big enough to fit the largest game board you can find (war games not included in this definition, because they can get freaking huge!) in addition to all the other pieces the game needs.

Enter the ultimate DIY project for board game afficionados: the Ultimate gaming table! The table was mainly designed to deal with RPGs but as the designer of the table states it’s suited for any kind of game. The room itself, which used to be a garage, was modified to suit hardcore gamer tastes.

Of course, this ultimate table will be one day obsoleted by huge interactive surfaces where we’ll play our board games while ordering pizza at the same time, maybe in 30 years time when these surfaces aren’t costing an organ.
