Shadowmoor is cranking up to be a nice emo set, I can already imagine cards like “River of my Pain” or “Merfolk Who Could Not Love”.
Actually, not really so. After the needed break Lorwyn gave us from the cliché apocalyptical worlds Magic always seems to bring us, Shadowmoor is back into the shadow with some badass art and none of those tribe fooleries.
Here’s the official card spoiler for all of you.
PreReleases are on 19 and 20 of this month.

About the Author

Tiago is the mastermind behind Breaking the Magic but he usually isn't the mastermind when playing games getting a lot of humiliating last places. He is however a cunning Cylon. Also never ask him to roll a die, even though he doesn't have bad luck at critical times he is known to roll the worst possible result. He loves receiving mail and answers every single one.
I still want to hug trees…
Just plain “River of Pain” sounds plausible though…
Can’t wait to play with some Shadowmoor, I’ve already found like 50 infinite loops with the ‘untap as a cost’ creatures, and the -1/-1 thing ought to be an odd change of pace. I don’t think I’ve ever had that rule about +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters removing eachother apply before.
Incidentally, funny comic, first one I’ve gotten in a while. Guess I don’t watch enough anime.
That April’s fool joke will haunt me for the rest of my life :p
D’oh. Guess that’s what I get for not looking at the comments after I don’t get the joke. An April Fools, eh?
Though to be fair the only board game with which I’m familliar is D&D, so none of those worked much for me either, but meh.
“You emo fairies!” Priceless.
