Yeah, I know I’m late. :]
Had a little trouble painting all the “lore” in “Lorwyn”.
Stay tuned for news about Lorwyn previews and for the next chapter of “The Lorwyn of the Rings“.
Tolkien is revolving in it’s grave

About the Author

Tiago is the mastermind behind Breaking the Magic but he usually isn't the mastermind when playing games getting a lot of humiliating last places. He is however a cunning Cylon. Also never ask him to roll a die, even though he doesn't have bad luck at critical times he is known to roll the worst possible result. He loves receiving mail and answers every single one.
So i’m not the only one annoyed because we are gonna play with the merry bunch of dorks from la-la-land?
I mean come on, i’ve never seen a dumber maw then the shrieking type (maybe witch-maw or mawcor) /RANT
cool comic btw
I actually don’t mind the new art, it’s very flavorful and not the usual gloomy “Oh my gawd the world’s gonna end!!”.
The similarities with Tolkien are a little to blatant though.
Awesome comic. This one truly is the best one so far (in my opinion). I especially liked the joke about Lorwyn’s swamps.
But because I have to nitpick: Kithkin uses a soft “th”, rather than a hard “t”. Thus, it sounds more like “kis-kin” than “kit-kin” or “kiz-kin”. So I’m not sure how Ike would have heard “kitty territory”.
Still, awesome, keep up the good work.
(Turns out I have more to say… *sigh*)
I just looked at last weeks comic to remember what happened last, and I noticed the site loaded up the card pictures (of Garruk and Liliana) before it loaded up the actual comic. I’m not sure if there’s anything you can do to control the order they load, but if you can, then the images in the blog should load after comic itself.
Also, I think you underestimate your target audience (or perhaps I overestimate it). People who look at Magic webcomics generally go to other Magic sites as well, such as StarCityGames or more importantly MTG Salvation. I emphasize with the feeling of gushing about new cards and mechanics, but it’s probable that your readers already know about it and you’re just recapping the rules information. I suggest talking about the cards, their impact, and what you think about them, but to skip the explanation on how the cards work. Just my opinion
This has gotten pretty big, but hey, you know what they say about constructive criticism, right?
Hmm.. I thought it was more like kit-kin, my bad then.
I have no control over what images load first, and usually as the comic image is quite big (I do try to minimize it’s size without losing to much quality), the other, smaller images will load first.
I guess I’m trying to hard to inform people and not as hard to share my opinion with them. I usually try to compile spoilers that are lost on countless threads through forums so readers can have a single source of information.
But perhaps you’re right, maybe I should add a little more than just plain card & rules info.
And yes, constructive criticism is quite precious (gollum gollum
), thanks for your time sharing your opinion
GASP, Tiago is late, boycott this comic!
