Well, that’s the life of a planeswalker always planeswalking around, running away from crazed planeswalkers. And then you planeswalk to happy happy Lorwyn by accident.
I’m sure Frodo jokes will be around when Lorwyn hits the shelves.
I hated Onslaught, but somehow I’m all excited about Lorwyn, It’s that traditional fantasy innocent look! It’s mesmerizing!
Oh, since we’re talking about Lorwyn check out two already known planeswalkers:

Wondering what the strange symbols are?
Resuming a bit: Planeswalkers are spells played by their mana cost, you can only play then whenever you could play a sorcery, they enter play and stick there as permanents. They are not creatures! When they enter play you put counters for their loyalty points (that’s the number on the lower right), then whenever you could play a sorcery, but only once per turn you can play one of their abilities adding or subtracting loyalty points. they can be affected by burn and an opponent may attack them (though you can block their creatures with yours), once the loyalty points go to 0 your planeswalkers get a little mad at ya and go to the graveyard (flavor-wise they think you’re a crappy planeswalker and abandon you to fight alone!). You can only have one planeswalker of a given type at any time, so basically they’re kind of like legends.
You can learn more about planeswalkers here.

Yeah, I guess this is Tolken land: Little half-lings, trees that walk, sleek and slender Elves, Goblins that are Black (flavor color wise). I wouldn’t be surprised to see Gandalf anytime now. Good call.

The Ring
Mana Cost: 0
Artifact - Equipment
When The Ring is attached to a creature, that creature has shadow, if that creature is not a kithkin sacrifice it at end of turn.
If a creature deals lethal damage to the creature the Ring is attached to, attach the Ring to that creature.
At the beginning of your upkeep, if The Ring is attached to a creature, put a shadow counter on that creature.
When a creature has 5 or more shadow counters, sacrifice it.
Equip 0.
I’m not surprised if I see something like this in Lorwyn

He he he, funny spell. (The Ring) I think I’ll print myself off one and play it in casual when Lorwyn comes out. (So I have some Kithkin.)
Actually… I just heard mention of a card called Oblivion Ring, which is almost definitely in Lorwyn. Maybe… nah…
Also, why exactly does ‘Kindle’ kill planeswalkers? I thought the first one only hits 2 damage, and those ‘walkers have 3 and 5 loyalty respectively.

Ok, I made a .bmp of the One Ring. I’d email it to you or something, but I couldn’t find how to contact you. Want a copy?

That’s a fireball, not a kindle, but I guess I had that coming since I didn’t explain what spell that was.
James’ loyalty is still to be revealed! xD
