This comic is for all those scaremongers and Nostradamus wannabes out there.
How many times have I heard Magic was bitting the bullet since I started playing? I don’t know.
Every time a new set is out (or even on the rumor season) I start hearing idiotic comments how magic is finally meeting its doom or how that particular player is quitting magic, because it now “officially sucks”.
I know that probably there are only a limited amount of different cards that can be made, but face it, there’s a whole lot of design areas unexplored, i still see cards that by their simplicity amaze me. As long as magic has talented people behind the design i think we’re rather safe from magic going to the grave.
Then there’s the people who say some set is overpowered and magic will end because of that, others state some set is underpowered and magic has a grim fate! We’ve survived Urza’s Saga, Mercadian Masques, Mirrodin, Kamigawa… I think we’re good. The sets have never been so balanced although sometimes they will tip one way or another.
We’re talking about a game of strategy, and what better way to test ourselves than with weak/strong sets? They both test your deckbuilding and your play skill like nothing more.
Magic is a long way from dying, Homelands was a shot to Magic’s head but still it survived. Why? Because most of us love this game ( even those who keep talking crap about it).
When Magic does end (bets accepted on who will die first, magic or us), we’ll just move on to next big thing, because we’re card gamers, not just magic gamers.
P.S.: I just found these, through some surfing, unfortunately they are only sent to the USA, if anyone from the US of A ever want to get me a present, just send me one of these babies! (if you wanna offer me a ring, I’ll have to check my finger size, and I like silver better than gold xD).

No, I also do not think MTG will ever die. There will always be the gotta have them all syndrome of the CCG. I thought it was interesting when I picked up the card game for World of Warcraft. It is not a CCG it states its a TCG (tradeable Card Game). Are you only into MTG? Are these strips limited to MTG? There are a slew of different card games out there, some that have survived even though they shouldnt have and some that died even though they were great. Of course I could name names and get yelled at because someone else does not share my own views and or opinions. Just a random thought from a random fa, of games of all kinds. Where reality takes a back seat and one can forget ones real world troubles if only for a little while (sometimes to be replaced with, Oh my god, that should have worked, why am I so dead? Man life sucks.) BTW, email me if you are still interested in RPGs, my group is breaking up and me and my friend are looking for a new one.
This random thought has been brought to you by “My brain” The one that ran away and comes back to haunt me verey now and then.

The strips are kind of limited to MTG, because I haven’t had much contact with other games lately.
I’m waiting for someone to teach me Vampire and WOW, until then the comic is MTG only ’cause it’s what I’m most familiar with. (I’m also dying to try Munchkin)
Thank for your invitation for the RPG group, but unless you’re from Portugal it’s kinda impossible

You mis-linked the jewelry.
Dang, I’m tempted to buy one, myself. I feel the same way about gold/silver.
I’m partial to black mana, although red looks like the best.
I wonder how big the gift box is…. (deck size?)

Page links are my nemesis, it seems. All fixed now. Thanks.
Yeah, black is more me, but the red one in silver is the coolest.
I can’t really imagine what’s the gift box like.
I know one thing, this is geek at its most and it ROCKS!! xD

This comic inspired by Sin City? I love what you are doing so far. Keep it up.

The inspirations were film noir movies and Sin City mostly. i thought it would add a little more drama and doom to the whole “Magic is dying” thing.

Hi!
I just read through your comics and had a good laugh. Most of them are really funny, I especially liked the first one and the one with the elf. Since I moved out, I only play Magic with my little brother from time to time anymore. I suspect he practices, though, cause he keeps kicking my butt with his zombie-deck. He would be delighted if you made a comic about zombies at some point.
Keep on drawing
