Haha. Me and my friend learned how to play off the 9th edition 2 player set. Unfortunatly we lost the rulebook after one game. For quite a while all creatures assigned damage as if they had trample and the stack was confusing as heck  Fortunantly after I played some FNM we actually learnt the proper rules

Funny story.

Usually it's the people who "know the game inside out", that actually don't know crap about the game.

- I shocked your bear! It's dead!
-But played a giant growth on it!
- Do you even know what a stack is?
"Adversary dies from brain overload"

I remember this back in the day. Grade 9.An annoying Chinese guy, Jeff Zhang, who barely spoke English told me how bad my plays were compared to his, and how he knew the game inside out.

"You no regenerate River Boa, First Strike on Black Knight kill it before it get chance to regenerate!" "But I made a regeneration shield before combat was declared." "You make that up! There no such thing as regeneration shield!" I produced a Horizon Seed. "Why would they make a card which could only trigger of so sorcery-speed cards like spirits half of the time? Regenerations shields begin when the ability is played, and last until end of turn."

A long pause ensued. I was sure I won. Then:

"That only work for Kamigawa block. It spiritcraft, it completely different."

I sometimes wonder if his parents had any children who lived past puberty.

Funny stuff!
